About

I am a vocal coach in the New York metropolitan area. I teach all types of singers from pop, rock, musical theater and opera. After struggling with my own voice for many years, I finally found a technique called the Swedish-Italian school of singing in 1999. I began teaching these wonderful concepts almost immediately. I've seen hundreds of singers find their complete voice through the application of these amazing, old world and time tested concepts. I am happy to bring these concepts to all singers, especially pop, rock and musical theater singers with "Let Your Voice Soar'.

Inspired by…

  • My voice teacher Maestro David L. Jones inspired me to teach voice. He constantly encouraged me to use my gifts as a singer and teacher to help other singers find their complete voice. He was and is so giving with his knowledge of the voice, that it inspires me to keep digging deeper to find more ways transfer the knowledge I have. That's what inspired me to create "Let Your Voice Soar". It's just a wonderful way to get the concepts out there to other singers.

Favorite Genres

  • I love Rock N Roll! Sounds cliché when you say it like that, but it's true. I love to hear a loud rock band with a beautiful rock voice soaring over it. Journey is still my favorite band of all time. I also love opera, which in many ways, is similar to rock. I grew up in the south, and my dad was a southern Baptist minister, so gospel music was a huge influence in my life. There is nothing quite like good ole southern gospel harmonies.
  • I also listen to a lot of the old school R&B artist like Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross and Aretha Franklin. Now I'm really digging Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Sam Smith and such. There are so many great singers today. I just hope they stop auto-tuning everything to death!

Favorite Films

  • Independence Day, The Wizard of Oz, Star Trek, Under the Tuscan Sun.
