    Breaking the Actor

It took a year and a half until an acting class would accept a film-maker into their midst but the wait was worth it. Filmed over the course of a year, Breaking the Actor takes a behind the scenes look at cocksure Tom Krushkowski as he attends an intensive acting program in Vancouver's Gastown district.
Despite broken bones, broken relationships and class conflicts, Tom charges through the nebulous landscape of acting school until the moment he begins to reconnect with emotions that were submerged during years spent in the army, working on the oil-fields and buried under habitual drug and alcohol abuse.
Breaking the Actor reveals an electrifying portrait of an emerging artist who also has a penchant for the emergency ward.
