The Guarango forest- a sanctuary for thousands of years- is dying. This affects the ecological balance in the Southern Coast of Peru. The Guarango tree is a precious native species which existed for thousands of years. Yet, it is increasingly cut down, causing the water table to disappear and the desert to gain terrain.
