Kerry Chan is deeply interested in community and social issues, food, politics, lifestyle and culture. After spending over 10 years in business and mortgage finance, she changed her career path to become a multi-media journalist - writing and producing videos that highlight and document what she is most passionate about.
Kerry is a contributor and photographer for The San Mateo Daily Journal, associate producer for "This Just In," a film documentary, and published freelance writer. Her work has been published in The Pioneer Newspaper, Contra Costa Times and The Hayward Review.
In digital media, Kerry was a weekly news anchor for a college campus webcast. She developed an idea for a TV segment and co-produced, researched and wrote "Campus and Community," which brought the local mayor, city manager and councilman to the studio for interviews.
She enjoys meeting new people, learning about their culture, their struggles and their identity to share stories that promote knowledge, culture, acceptance and inclusion.
