One of the most powerful bands that emerged in Germany out of the 'tumultuous 60's' was 'Grobschnitt'. They toured relentlessly for decades, cultivated a cult following, maintained a non-compromising attitude against the Establishment, and were famous for their amazing musicianship and outrageous stage antics.
This early film by Canadian director Frank Jacob ('Solar Revolution', 'Packing For Mars') - a fan of the band and himself a drummer - is an experimental exploration designed to match the charismatic and chaotic character of the band. Re-live the fascinating roots of one of Krautrock's most enigmatic offspring, from a unique insider's perspective, via the reflections of key founding members, some of whom are no longer with us. A gem of history indeed!
