What is Beta and how does it work?

“Beta” means we’re putting the site through its paces and are working hard to iron out the kinks. This is an opportunity to give us your feedback on what’s working and what isn’t.

Because we’re growing, we have to open the gates slowly. More filmmakers will be able to add their videos over time. But for now, what’s your story?

    Jalpak Tash- A Kyrgyzstan Epic

    Uploaded Nov 16, 2012
Kyrgyzstan is a place many have no idea about, and before The North Face athletes Leah Evans, Izzy Lynch and Mike Hopkins arrived to ski in the Tien Shan mountains, neither did they. In a country that is 80% mountains, skiing is offering glimmers of hope for the future. The crew embark on a trip that is part of a project to help generate employment opportunities for local Kyrgyz people after the collapse of the Soviet Union crippled the economy in the early 90's. Ski touring out of a traditional nomadic yurt, skiing perfect powder and first descents became a bonus at the end of an epic cultural adventure through the heart of Central Asia.
